There is no doubt that DAWs have given musicians, artistes and performers the chance to record at home, and to enable everyone to instantly capture that creative moment 'in the box'. But you'll find that 'moment' needs to be developed, enhanced, tweaked and polished. Alternatively, you may want a piece that you've tracked at another studio, reamped/mixed/remixed/mastered? Or we can work with you on your entire audio project, from concept to delivery. Combining our Universal Audio interfaces with some of our incredible boutique/analogue equipment, we can achieve an amazing result at our hybrid studio in Norfolk. Get in touch to see what we can do.
Location recording....when familiarity is paramount and you want to record in a space where you feel most comfortable and in an atmosphere where you're at your most creative? Then we'll bring the studio out to you. Or maybe you need to capture that once in a lifetime live performance. We will discretely set up our rig at your venue, record your performance then if required carry out overdubs either at your location or at our Norfolk studio. We will then mix and master. Alternatively, soon after the gig, we can send you the recorded tracks/stems for you to mix yourselves. Also a live engineer and musician, I am familiar with a wide variety of situations where audio needs to be perfectly captured.
Whether you are an emerging or a more established band/artiste, we've created a relaxed, non pressured space which encourages development and creativity. At the heart of the studio, we've curated an amazing mic locker, along with analogue outboard by Rupert Neve, API, Manley Labs, UA and Louder Than Liftoff. We also have numerous plug ins by UAD, FabFilter, Celemony, Antares and Waves. Control wise, we have high end MacBook Pros, a Mac Mini and up to 30 simultaneous inputs on pristine Unison preamps with our Universal Audio interfaces. Tracking & mixing - it's not just a case of 'pressing record' then mixing. It's about getting the right mic through the best signal chain on each instrument or voice, then understanding what needs to be applied to a mix to deliver a result. We can cover everything from recording a live concert to producing an audiobook. It's your project. Let us know what you want and we'll do our utmost to make it happen.
